Review Of Rainforest Room On Disney Wonder

One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to treat myself to a spa day or two. While it can be pricey, I absolutely love having a spa pass to look forward to on sea days.

A few years ago I was on Disney Fantasy and enjoyed a day at the Rainforest Room. That was during COVID protocols, and I got the whole experience to myself, which was wonderful.

This year, onboard Disney Wonder, I did a repositioning cruise from Hawaii to Australia. With 13 sea days, I knew I wanted to do the Rainforest Room pass for the duration of the cruise.

I purchased a head of time and was really excited to get on board and check out the experience after I loved the Fantasy Rainforest Room so much.

What Is The Rainforest Room On Disney Wonder?

Inside Senses Spa on deck 9 forward, you’ll find the Rainforest Room. This paid experience is adult only and allows you access to the area anytime the spa is open, which is currently 9am to 10 pm.

There is are two steam saunas, 3 experiential showers and 6 heated stone loungers.

The saunas are decent size, one is steam only and the other has aromatherapy.

There is one shower called Tropical Thunder that changes between cool and warm water, a shower called Rain Shower that is different pressures of water in a cool temperature, and a shower called cool fog, which is a mist of cool water.

You are meant to use the saunas, and then use the showers in order from warm to cool.

You are able to lounge in the heated stone loungers as long as you wish. They are my favorite place to relax. The warmth is so comforting and I can barely stay awake when I am there.

On the Wonder, it can take some time to get a lounger if there are people in there as they seem to stay for quite a while.

Different from the Fantasy, there is no dry sauna in the rainforest room on the Wonder, although there is one near the changing rooms that you are able to use, but those without a Rainforest pass can use that too after they work out in the gym.

There are no jacuzzis on the Wonder either, where the Fantasy has two.

What To Wear To The Disney Wonder Rainforest Room

The Rainforest Room on all Disney Ships is co-ed, and bathing suits must be worn at all times.

You will be given a robe and slippers to wear, and there is a changing room with lockers to keep your things in. The lockers are free, so no worries there about extra costs.

I wear my bathing suit and a cover up over the top and then leave my key to the world card, shoes, phone and coverup in a locker while using the spa.

Inside the Rainforest Room you will find plenty of towels, so no need to bring one with you from your room.

There is also water available inside the spa, be sure and keep hydrated especially after using the saunas and sweating.

Is The Rainforest Room On Disney Wonder Worth It?

Honestly, I wish I had not purchased the full cruise pass this time. I should have looked at the Rainforest Room first before making my decision. The Wonder is a smaller and older ship than the Fantasy, and the Rainforest Room follows suit. It’s really quite small and feels crowded at times.

I have had the opportunity to be in there one or two times where it was comfortable, but most days it feels too small for the amount of people that are in there.

If you prebook on the Navigator app prior to your cruise you only have the option to book for the duration of the cruise. If you wait until you are on board, you can purchase by the day.

While I still enjoyed the time I spent in the Rainforest Room on the Wonder, I much prefer the experience I’ve had on larger ships like the Disney Fantasy and the NCL Viva.
