Who I am

Hi! My name is Chantelle. I grew up in Northern California and now live in the Pacific Northwest. I am a travel advisor and a nationally syndicated travel writer with regular features in Wealth of Geeks, MSN, and the Associated Press Wire.

Why should you listen to me?

Aside from being a passionate traveler myself, I am also a travel advisor. This means I have spent hours and hours taking classes to learn more about venues, brands, and locations.

My education never stops. I learn through in-person and online classes and by traveling to gain hands-on experience.

I am certified in the following areas:

Why I blog

My passion is traveling. Ok, actually, I’m a nerd, and my passion is actually planning travel! My family teases me about the amount of time I spend researching each place we are going to. I hope that my research will help make your vacation amazing, too!

I started traveling with my boys as a single mom and helped them learn how to be self-sufficient and adventurous through our travels. Traveling has taught all of us how small the world is, and how alike we all are. It has helped my kids become more grateful for their circumstances and more global-minded.

Through my blog, I hope to pass on some of the things we’ve learned along the way to make your travels more fulfilling as well.

I’ve cruised extensively on many different cruise lines. I have cruised as a single mom, as a couple, on girls’ trips, and solo cruising. From my experience, I can help you find the best ports and the best excursions and have the best overall experience.
